Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been loudly booed at a vigil for victims of a racially motivated shooting.

The Republican candidate for president was heckled in Jacksonville, where hundreds gathered on Sunday to remember the three victims of the attack.

He was forced to step back from the microphone before a member of the city council asked the crowd to listen.

"It ain't about parties today," Ju'Coby Pittman said, adding: "A bullet don't know a party."

A shooting in Jacksonville, Florida, has left four people dead, including the shooter, in what officials are describing as a racially motivated crime.

The shooting happened at Kings Road and Canal Street in Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday afternoon when an unnamed male entered a Dollar General a little after 1 p.m. armed with an AR-style rifle and a handgun, according to Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters, who added the shooter was wearing a tactical vest.

A white man armed with a high-powered rifle and a handgun killed three Black people at a Dollar General store in Jacksonville, Florida, on Saturday, before shooting himself, in what local law enforcement described as a racially motivated crime.

"This shooting was racially motivated, and he hated Black people," Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters told a press conference.

The suspect, whom Waters described as a white male wearing a tactical vest, was not identified. Waters said all three victims - two men and a woman - were Black.

Three people were killed Saturday in a racially motivated attack after a gunman targeted Black people at a Dollar General store in Jacksonville, Florida, in one of several weekend shootings that again shocked Americans in public places – from stores to football games to parades.

“This shooting was racially motivated and he hated Black people,” Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters said at a news conference early Saturday evening.

Two people were wounded by gunfire Friday during a Chicago White Sox game at the team's stadium, Chicago police said.

A 42-year-old female woman suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, and a 26-year-old woman had a graze wound to the abdomen, the police department said early Saturday.

More details about where the shot or shots came from were not available.

"At no time was it believed there was an active threat," Chicago police said in a statement. The department said the information was preliminary and an investigation was continuing.

Saudi border guards are accused of the mass killing of migrants along the Yemeni border in a new report by Human Rights Watch.

The report says hundreds of people, many of them Ethiopians who cross war-torn Yemen to reach Saudi Arabia, have been shot dead.

Migrants have told the BBC they had limbs severed by gunfire and saw bodies left on the trails.

Saudi Arabia has previously rejected allegations of systematic killings.

A mass shooting at a Baltimore block party early Sunday morning left two dead and at least 28 injured, city officials said.

Driving the news: Police said they started receiving 911 calls at 12:30 a.m., and arrived to find an 18-year-old woman dead at the scene.

Nine people were transported from the scene to hospitals. 20 people walked into nearby hospitals. Three of the victims are in critical condition, according to police.

A 20-year-old man, who was taken to the hospital, was later pronounced dead.

A mass shooting near a Washington State music festival Saturday night left at least two people dead and three more injured, police said. 

The suspect shot at one point “randomly into the crowd,” at a campground near the Gorge Amphitheater where the Beyond Wonderland electronic dance music festival was taking place, Kyle Foreman, a public information officer with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office told a news conference. 

Officers, he said, responded to a call at 8:23 p.m. local time (11:23 p.m. ET) “to reports of shots fired into the crowd.”

At least 20 people were injured, one fatally, when gunfire erupted early Sunday at a Juneteenth celebration in suburban Chicago, authorities said.

The shooting unfolded about 12:30 a.m. in the parking lot of a strip mall in Willowbrook, about 23 miles west of Chicago, according to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

The gunfire erupted during a large gathering to commemorate Juneteenth, Battalion Chief Joe Ostrander with the Tri-State Fire Protection District told ABC Chicago station WLS-TV.

A gunman "roamed" Farmington, New Mexico, with guns including an "AR-style rifle" and "randomly" fired at people in a shooting Monday that left three dead and six others injured, including two law enforcement officers, police said.

The latest: Police identified the suspect on Tuesday as 18-year-old Farmington High School student Beau Wilson. Farmington Police Chief Steve Hebbe said in a Facebook video Monday night that Wilson died during a shootout with police.
