A man was arrested after allegedly setting fire to the Pennsylvania governor's mansion as Gov. Josh Shapiro and his family slept inside early Sunday morning.

At a press conference Sunday evening, authorities named 38-year-old Cody Balmer as the suspect.

Balmer will be charged with attempted murder, terrorism, aggravated arson and aggravated assault against an enumerated person, according to officials.

Police in Kansas continue to search for the man who tore off the tip of a person’s finger with his teeth before getting away.

Police said it started when that suspect stole a bottle of alcohol from a bar near 7th and Massachusetts Street in Lawrence. The suspect allegedly stole Fireball from Logie’s on Mass Street, then took off running down Mass St., where he randomly attacked a man and bit off the tip of his pinky finger.

“That’s crazy,” Ethan Dorning said...

Defenders of the 17-year-old student athlete accused of murdering a rival at a Texas track have launched an online fundraiser in his name.

Karmelo Anthony (no relation to retired NBA star Carmelo Anthony) remains in the Collin County Jail, where he's being held on a $1 million bond following the stabbing death of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf.

While seeking to reduce the cost of Anthony's bond, defense attorney Deric Walpole told reporters this week that his client is claiming self defense in the tragedy.

The family of the Texas teenager accused of fatally stabbing a fellow high school track star has started a legal defense fund on his behalf. In a fundraiser posted on GiveSendGo , the family of 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony — who was charged with murder following the death of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf on April 2 — wrote that the accusations against the teen were "false, unjust and harmful." "This is the Official Support Fund for Karmelo and his family during this challenging and difficult time," the family's message states. "The narrative...

A Texas high school football star was stabbed in the heart and died in the arms of his twin brother after a fight over a seat at a track meet, his heartbroken family says.

Austin Metcalf was attending a track and field championship between other area schools at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco, Texas, when the fatal attack happened on April 2.

Metcalf, a junior at Memorial High School outside Dallas, was in his team’s tent when a fight broke out between the teen and 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony, cops say.

The family of a 17-year-old boy who was stabbed to death at a Texas track meet said they are heartbroken over what they called the "senseless" act of violence.

Austin Metcalf, an 11th grader at Frisco Memorial High School, died Wednesday after police said another student stabbed him during an altercation at a track meet in Frisco.

The victim's twin brother, Hunter Metcalf, was also at the meet and tried to save him, their mother told Dallas ABC affiliate WFAA.

The Pentagon City shopping mall was shut down Saturday night after fights broke out, the Arlington police said.

Three juveniles were detained, police said about 8:30 p.m. One of the detained juveniles reported minor injuries. One officer and one mall security guard also reported minor injuries.

Videos posted on social media appeared to show a swirl of movement in and around the mall’s food court, as officers struggled with members of an unruly crowd.

A man drove his car into protesters outside a Tesla dealership in Florida’s Palm Beach County over the weekend, authorities said.

None of the participants in the demonstration against President Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk was hurt in the incident.

It comes as protests pop up across the country looking to combat Musk’s role in the Trump administration and with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

The Columbine killers have claimed another victim.

Nearly 26 years after two troubled Colorado teenagers barged into Columbine High School and opened fire, killing a dozen classmates and a teacher, one of the students left wounded by their barrage of bullets has died from the injuries she sustained on that April 20, 1999, the Jefferson County Coroner's Office reported.
